Psecas

also: Psecade natus

Named by Caelius as the mother of the lowborn slave Bellienus, foil to the 'man sprung from Venus' (Caesar). Psecas is a stock servile name (a hairdressing slave-girl), so the figure may be a contemptuous invention rather than a real woman; uncertain.
