Quintus Ligarius

Ligarius

also: Ligarius, Q. Ligarius

A Pompeian legate who served in Africa and was stranded there when the war turned; prosecuted for treason in 46 BC, he was defended by Cicero in the Pro Ligario and pardoned by Caesar. He later joined the conspiracy against Caesar and was proscribed by the Triumvirs in 43 BC.
