Quintus Mucius (courier to Marcellus)

Q. Mucius

also: Q. Mucius, Quintus Mucius

A man named Quintus Mucius who carried one of Cicero's letters (probably Fam. 4.8) to the exiled M. Marcellus at Mytilene in 46 BC (Fam. 4.9.1). His identity is uncertain; he may be the Q. Mucius Scaevola who was Appius Claudius Pulcher's quaestor in Cilicia (person:q-mucius-scaevola-quaestor-51), but the bearer here cannot be securely identified. FLAG: possible duplicate of person:q-mucius-scaevola-quaestor-51 — left distinct pending PM review.
