Servius Sulpicius

Servius Sulpicius Rufus (c. 106–43 BC), consul 51 BC and Rome's greatest Republican-era jurist; a close friend of Cicero who died in January 43 BC on a senatorial embassy to Antony, receiving posthumous honours. He moved in the Senate that age requirements for the cursus honorum be relaxed for Octavian.
