Sphaerus of Borysthenes

Sphaerus

also: Sphaerus, Sphaeri

A Stoic philosopher of the third century BC, pupil of Zeno of Citium and of Cleanthes, noted for the precision of his definitions. Cicero credits him with the earlier definitions of courage that Chrysippus later restated.
