Themista of Lampsacus
Themista
also: Themista, Themiste, de Themista
A woman of Lampsacus, wife of Leonteus and a follower of Epicurus, to and about whom Epicurus is said to have written; Cicero in De Finibus 2.68 mocks the Epicureans for filling whole volumes on the subject of Themista while the great names of Greek history go unmentioned in their school.
