Thrasybulus

The Athenian democratic general who went into exile and returned in arms to overthrow the Thirty Tyrants in 403 BC, restoring the democracy. Cicero offers him as the precedent of armed resistance, set against the quietists who survived the Cinnan terror by accommodation.
