Tiberius Sempronius Gracchus

Ti. Gracchus

also: Gracchus, Gracchus augur, Gracchus the augur

Consul 177 and 163 BC, censor 169, and augur; father of the reforming tribunes Tiberius and Gaius Gracchus. While governing Sardinia he realised, as augur, that he had presided over the consular elections at Rome under a flawed auspice, prompting the consuls to abdicate.
