Timocrates of Lampsacus

Timocrates

The brother of the Epicurean Metrodorus, with whom he quarrelled and broke; he became a hostile critic of Epicureanism. Cicero notes both that Epicurus assailed him in whole volumes and that Metrodorus accused him of hesitating to refer all happiness to the belly.
