Timotheus

also: Timotheus Cononis filius, Timotheus, son of Conon

Fourth-century Athenian general, son of the admiral Conon, who won notable victories and was also a pupil of Isocrates. Cicero praises him for adding intellectual and literary glory to his inherited military distinction.
