Achradina
Achradina, the second of the four quarters of ancient Syracuse, lying east of the strait between the Greater and Lesser Harbours on the mainland of the Sicilian coast. It contained the main forum, the chief colonnades, the prytaneum, the curia, and the temple of Olympian Jupiter (Verr. 2.4.119) and was the commercial and political heart of the Roman city.
