Aetna

Aetna, the town of Inessa-Aetna in eastern Sicily on the southern flank of the great volcano, in the rich grain-growing belt; one of the Sicilian communities most heavily exploited by Apronius and the Venerii under Verres (Verr. 2.3.47, 57). Distinct from the older Greek colony of Catania.
