A municipium in Campania, situated between Capua and Neapolis (modern Sant'Arpino). Held ager vectigalis (revenue-bearing public land) in Cisalpine Gaul; the threatened taxation of that land is the subject of Fam. 13.7. The town had long-standing ties of gratitude to Cicero.
