Calactinos

Calacte, a small Greek city of the northern Sicilian coast (modern Caronia Marina), inland of Halaesa. Its tithes were redirected by Verres to Amestratus in his third year, against his own previous practice (Verr. 2.3.101). The home of Cicero's correspondent Hippias (Ad fam. 13.37).
