Fregellae

also: agro Fregellano, Fregellan country, ager Fregellanus

A Latin colony in the Liris valley of Latium, destroyed by Rome in 125 BC after its revolt; its territory (the ager Fregellanus) was redistributed and absorbed by neighbouring Fabrateria Nova. The landholding C. Valgius Hippianus bought lay in this Fregellan territory (Fam. 13.76).
