Haluntium

Haluntium (modern Caronia), a Sicilian city on the steep northern coast; difficult of access — Verres refused to climb up to it and summoned Archagathus down to do his extorting for him (Verr. 2.4.51). Birthplace of the phylarch whose ship Heracleon captured at Helorus.
