Leucopetra

Leucopetra ("White Rock"), the promontory at the southern tip of Italy near Rhegium (here the "Leucopetra of the Tarentines"), a usual embarkation point for Greece; Cicero put in here in August 44 BC, was driven back by a south wind, and abandoned his voyage.
