Magnesia ad Sipylum, a Hellenistic city on the northern face of Mt Sipylus in Lydia, the site of L. Scipio's victory over Antiochus III in 190 BC. Quintus Cicero alone of the Asian governor's staff held firm against L. Sestius Pansa's demands on the city (Ad Q. fr. 2.9.2).
