Pamphylia

Pamphylia, the coastal region of southern Asia Minor between Lycia and Cilicia, including Aspendus, Perge, and Side. Reduced by P. Servilius Vatia in the 70s BC and added piecemeal to the province of Cilicia. Frequently harassed by Verres in his legateship with Cn. Dolabella (Verr. 2.1.53, 95; Pro lege Manilia 35).
