Phlius

A small city-state in the northeastern Peloponnese, near Sicyon and Corinth, with strong Pythagorean associations. In Cicero's report of Heraclides Ponticus, it was at Phlius that Pythagoras gave his famous account of the philosopher as a spectator at the games.
