The temple of Bellona in the Campus Martius, just outside the pomerium; a regular meeting-place of the senate for hearing returning generals seeking a triumph and for receiving foreign envoys whose entry into the city was undesirable. The senate met there to debate the response to the Tempsan raid (Verr. 2.5.41).
