Triocala, an inland Sicilian stronghold which had been the centre of the Second Servile War (104-100 BC) under Salvius and Athenion. Verres used the place's reputation to fabricate a charge of slave conspiracy against Leonidas of Sicily (Verr. 2.5.10).
