The Via Domitia, the great Roman road built by Cn. Domitius Ahenobarbus (the consul of 122 BC) across Transalpine Gaul from the Rhone to the Pyrenees; the chief military and commercial artery of the new province. Fonteius continued its repair after Bellienus (Pro Fonteio 18).
