Leucadia (Turpilius)

the Leucadia

also: Leucadia, in Leucadia

A Roman comedy, generally attributed to Sextus Turpilius (after a Greek original by Menander), from which Cicero quotes the lovesick speeches of a man near to madness. The play takes its name from the Leucadian rock from which the unhappy lover threatens to leap.
