Respublica (Plato)

Plato's Republic

also: Politeia, the Politeia

Plato's dialogue on justice and the ideal state, which Cicero takes as the structural model for his own De Republica. He cites its opening (Socrates at Cephalus's house in the Piraeus) to justify a dramaturgical choice.
