Lucius Cornelius Balbus (the Younger)
Balbus
Quaestor in Further Spain under Asinius Pollio in 43 BC; nephew of the elder L. Cornelius Balbus, Caesar's confidant. Pollio's letter (Fam. 10.32) recounts his outrages at Gades before he absconded with the provincial treasury.

L. Cornelius Balbus the Younger, nephew of Caesar's confidant Balbus the elder, was himself a Caesarian agent; he and the others had each reported on the kinsman's misconduct. He is distinct from his more famous uncle, who appears elsewhere in the correspondence simply as "Balbus."
