Flaccus (in Asia, 50 BC)

Flaccus

also: Flaccus, Flaccum

A subordinate active in the province of Asia in 50 BC through whom the official censure of Appius's hired witnesses might already have been arranged (Fam. 3.11.3); usually taken to be a legate of the governor of Asia. Uncertain identity; probably a Valerius Flaccus, but distinct from the propraetor of 62 BC tried in Pro Flacco.
