The Roman personification of the sky (Greek Ouranos), whom Cicero uses to render the divine progenitor in the Timaeus theogony. With Terra he begets Oceanus and Salacia.

The myth of the succession of heaven (Caelus/Uranus), Saturn (Kronos), and Jupiter (Zeus), which Balbus reads allegorically: the fiery sky needs no bodily generation, Saturn is Time, Jupiter the binding order of the stars.
